Bookkeeping involves the processes and tasks of recording of financial transactions. These transactions can include sales, income, purchases, and payments by an entity, whether it be an individual or an organization. Bookkeeping is usually performed by a bookkeeper and should not be confused with accounting. A bookkeeper is also known as an accounting clerk or accounting technician; and is a person who records the daily financial transactions of a company.
